Your services profile

A profile lives at a public address, and that address belongs to an account. This is the one thing on this site that needs one. Everything else works signed out, including reading everybody else’s profiles.

What a profile shows

What you offer, in your words
A headline, a paragraph about how you work, and the kinds of work you take. Nobody edits it and nobody ranks it.
Where you work, and how far you will go
An area and a travel radius. Blank means you did not say, not that the answer is none.
What you charge, if you want to say
A starting figure and a note beside it. You can leave this out; the field is there because being able to say it plainly is worth something.
What the system can vouch for
The half you cannot write. It fills in from drills you have actually shot and files we have actually read, and it stays empty until then, including on this example.

Blank means they did not say, not that the answer is none.

Here is one, filled in

This is an example, not a real photographer. Nobody has published a profile yet. It is here so you can see the shape of the thing before deciding whether you want one.

Example profile

What they offer

Written by the photographer. We have not checked any of it.

Weddings and portraits, and I will tell you if I am the wrong person for the job.

This is where a photographer writes about themselves in their own words: how they work, what they are like on the day, and who they are not right for. Nobody edits it and nobody scores it. The paragraph you are reading is standing in for that.

Work they offer
People and portraits · Weddings · Events and parties
Where they work
East Tennessee, travels up to 120 miles
Rates
From $900
About those rates
Half-days and elopements are priced differently, so ask.

What we can vouch for

This part is not written by the photographer and cannot be edited by them. It is what this system read for itself, out of files they brought back for practice drills.

Nothing here yet

This fills in when someone brings a photograph back for a practice drill and the settings the file recorded match what the drill asked for. It cannot be filled in any other way.

  • This is a record of specific photographs. It does not say how many attempts anything took, and there is nothing here for comparing one photographer with another.
  • What we read is the settings block a camera writes beside a picture. That block can be edited afterwards, so what we can honestly say is that the file we were given recorded these settings, not that anyone stood there and set them.
  • Nobody has looked at the photographs. Nothing in this product decodes an image, so none of this is an opinion about whether the pictures are any good.
  • It covers practice drills and nothing else. We do not check licences, insurance, qualifications or anything a photographer tells you about themselves.

The lower half is empty on purpose, and it is empty on every new profile. It fills in from drills you have actually shot and files we have actually read. That is the only reason it is worth anything, and the reason nobody can type into it.
